Find lighting at Copenhagen Home Design
Our range brings together Danish and international lighting brands with different approaches to design and materials. Compare each model's dimensions, finish and technical specifications to find the right fit for your home.
Lighting for different rooms
Start with the room's purpose. Reading, cooking and working call for different light from relaxing in a bedroom or living room. Consider comfortable light over the dining table and choose bathroom lighting specifically suited to its installation position.
Brightness, colour temperature and light distribution all influence the atmosphere. A lamp's shape and finish can reinforce a modern, romantic, industrial, cosy or minimalist interior. Explore pendant and ceiling lights, wall lights and table lamps, including options for LED lighting. Discover brass lighting alongside steel, glass, plastic and marble designs. Materials and light-source compatibility vary by model.
For metal detailing and an industrial-inspired expression, explore Thorup Copenhagen and Buster + Punch lighting. They can complement textured brass handles in a kitchen. For expressive forms and decorative focal points, discover Design By Us. For clean lines, explore Astro, including models for outdoor lighting and bathroom lighting; always check the individual fitting's suitability.
Choosing bathroom lighting
When selecting bathroom lights, consider the exact installation position and the manufacturer's instructions. An IP rating alone is not a guarantee that a fitting can be installed anywhere in a bathroom. Have the requirements assessed by a qualified electrician.
Suitable wall lights above or beside a mirror can provide useful light for shaving, makeup and contact lenses. Complement them with appropriate ceiling lighting or spotlights for the rest of the room. Compact fittings can be useful where space is limited.
Atmospheric lighting for the living room
A floor lamp can complement other light sources and add a vertical element to the room. Many freestanding models can be repositioned as your needs change, subject to space and power access. Choose a suitable light distribution for reading beside an armchair or creating atmosphere near the sofa, and allow room for the base.
A pendant light can work above a coffee table or in a corner. A group of pendants at different heights, or in different colours and designs, can create a focal point where the layout and installation allow it. Keep suitable headroom and clear sightlines.
Practical lighting for the kitchen
Kitchen worktops need useful light where you prepare food. Depending on the layout, small pendants, wall lights or spotlights can provide targeted illumination. Plan their positions to limit shadows and glare, and check that the fittings suit the location.
Outdoor lighting
Outdoor lights can help illuminate entrances, driveways and terraces while shaping the appearance of your home. Decide whether you need orientation light, focused illumination or a softer atmosphere. Models mounted above or beside a front door serve different layouts. Suitable spotlights may be an option for a carport or a specific area; choose only models intended for the outdoor conditions.
Our outdoor lighting range includes discreet and more prominent designs, with downward or upward and downward light. For coastal locations, check the manufacturer's stated coastal suitability and care requirements. Brass alone is not a guarantee of resistance to every coastal condition. Its appearance may develop a patina depending on the finish and exposure.
Combine ceiling lights, wall lights and more
A home often needs several types of light throughout the year. Combine pendant and ceiling lights, wall lights and table lamps to suit the way each room is used. Give equal attention to the fitting and its light source. For help with bulb selection, see our guide to choosing a light source.
