Thorup Copenhagen

Lighting from Thorup Copenhagen

Kasper Thorup founded Thorup Copenhagen in 2018. You may recognise him from the Danish television programme “Danmarks næste designklassiker”, in which designers developed innovative new products.

The brand's portfolio spans dining chairs, bar stools, lounge chairs and lighting. Its approach begins with an appreciation of the inherent qualities of natural materials. With longevity, quality and practical use as design aims, Kasper Thorup creates collections that offer a nuanced take on Scandinavian design. Simple lines and carefully chosen materials express the appeal of minimalism.

The Patrone collection

With Patrone, Kasper Thorup brings together a timeless expression and a contemporary look. The designs strip away unnecessary details to focus on a simple aesthetic. With a suitable light source, Thorup Copenhagen Patrone lights can provide pleasant illumination and help create a calm atmosphere.

The collection's clean lines and subtly industrial character add definition to an interior. Designed and produced in Denmark, the range includes pendant lights, wall lights, ceiling lights and spotlights in different versions and finishes.

A Patrone pendant light is an elegant addition to a modern home and can complement the textured brass handles in your kitchen. Arrange several in a cluster in a corner or in a row over a dining table or kitchen island to shape the atmosphere.

A Patrone wall light can add a welcoming feel to a bedroom or living room. Depending on the model and placement, use it for reading or to highlight artwork and other decorative details.

Alongside pendants and wall lights, explore Thorup Copenhagen spotlights. Their elegant, minimalist forms combine a decorative presence with practical lighting. A suitable ceiling spotlight can illuminate a kitchen worktop, an island or a hallway. Choose the model, light source and placement to suit the room and the effect you want.

Coordinate your Thorup Copenhagen lighting with the rest of your interior for a cohesive look. For example, choose handles and knobs with a similar material or texture.
